FOUR WAY VALVE :-
The four way valve is provided to facilitate the change in connection of the fuel lines to the Pump during refuelling, defuelling and self loading.
FLOW METER :-
Taru Lalwani flow meter is provided on each fuel filling line. It has a reversible & digit totaliser and 5 digit counter calibrated to read in litres. The counter can be re-set each time to read zero before every operation, by turning the re-set knob provided on the unit. It has a flow rate indicator calibrated to read in litres per minut when defuelling the initial and final reading of the totaliser should be noted and the final reading shall be subtracted from the initial reading to calculate the amount of fuel defuelled. Note that during refuelling, the meter will register in the reverse direction.

VENTURI :-
A Venturi is provided in between the flow meter and hose reel on each fuel filling line. The presssure at the Throat of the venturi is sensed by sensing lines and is directed to the sensing chamber of the PCV to control the pressure at the delivery. It is made of light aluminum alloy. It compensates the pressure loss in the discharge pipe lines and hoses by enabling the PCV to operate according to the pressure variations. The needle valve in the venturi is so adjusted that the delivery pressure at the nozzle is equal to the pressure at the throat of the venturi.
HOSE REEL :-
The Hose Reel is fabricated with sheet(steel) into the form of a drum with end dishes held together with the rods. It is mounted on axle shaft. The Hose is fitted to the Hose Reel by an assembly of two bends, chickson assembly and a victaulic coupling the drum can be rotated to wined the hose on the reel by a cranking handle which is connected to the reel by a pair of bevel gears. The Hose can be unwound during Refuelling or defuelling operations. The axle shaft is mounted on a bearing at one end.The other end is fitted to the swing joint elbow which is fitted to the flange adopter mounted on a bearing. The bearings are mounted on the supporting frame. The chickson swivel joints enables the hose reel rotate independent of the pipe line. The Hose reel is locked in position by a brake wheel.

REFUELLING NOZZLE(TRIGGER NOZZLE) :-
The Refuelling nozzle is used for over wing refuelling and defuelling of the aircraft. It is light in weight and easy to handle. There is a trigger gaurd to hold the trigger in open position. The Trigger guard has three slots, thus providing three different position for different flow rates which is attained by pressing the trigger. The Trigger should be pushed off the rest to close the nozzle. A dust cap with spring is provided to close the nozzle when kept unused. It also has a synthetic rubber gaurd to prevent dust entering the aircraft fuel tank during refuelling. It is also provided with a strainer defuelling pipe and earthing cable assembly. Defuelling pipe should be fixed with the nozzle while using it for over wing defuelling.
PRESSURE COUPLING :-
A pressure coupling is provided at the end of a refuelling hose to facilitate under wing refuelling and defuelling. The Design incorporates international standards and can be adapted to any ground units of international standard. The coupling is provided with seals to prevent Leakage. It has an actuating handle to actuate the ground unit to open after enganging the coupling. It has two handles at the sides for easy handling. Swiveling arrangement is provided at the hose connector to aliminate twists and kinks in the refuelling hose. It is also fitted with a strainer and a bonding cable assembly.
