BELT TIGHTNER :-
Belt tightner is used for tightning the Belts.
PNEUMATIC SYSTEM :-
This is an infrequently used system, which does not impose any significant load. Hence compressed air from the vehicle air system is utilised for this purpose, which ensures a pressure of 4.5 bars. The system operated pneumatically are the diverted flap for change over from dry is wet operation(and vice versa) and also opening/closing of the heavy objects nozzle.
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM :-
Several operations are carried out hydraulically and for this purpose, the high-pressure hydraulic pumps driven by chassis engine and auxilary engine are used. The latter actuates the brush driven through a variable speed by hydraulic motor whilst the former actuates the following services :-
  1. Lifhing/lowering of suction hood.
  2. Opening/closing of dirt container door
  3. Tilting of dirt container
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM :-
The standard 12 V. Electrical system which is basic to the chassis provides power for the vehicle lights and also for the beacon and indicater lights in the cabin.
INSTRUMENTS, CONTROLS & INDICATIONS :-
The machine is provided with all the necessary instruments, controls and indications for its efficient and satisfactory operation. The folloowing instruments, contacts and indicators have been provided:-
(i) CHASSIS PANEL
  1. Speedometer
  2. Ammeter
  3. Fuel Contents gauge
  4. Oil pressure gauge
  5. Engine Temperature gauge
  6. Switches for chassis lights
  7. Main switch and starter switch
(ii)AUXILARY ENGINE PANEL
  1. Engine R.P.M. gauge
  2. Oil pressure gauge
  3. Engine Temperature gauge
  4. Fan, Beacon and indicator
  5. Indicator lights for
    *Suction Hood position
    *Heavy objects Nozzle open/closed
    *Dry/Wet operations
    Starter, Brush R.P.M., Vacuum gauge, Hydraulic pressure.
